1.Add flavour
Sometimes all you need is to add a bit of flavour to your water to make it more palatable. Next time you are pouring a glass, add a bit of colour and excitement by infusing it with herbs and fruit. A refreshing cucumber, fresh berries, sprigs of herbs like lavender or mint, or a zesty lemon. Here are a few recipes to get you started.
2. Create a habit
Life is busy and can sometimes cause us to forget to drink our water. Try creating a habit or routine. Have a glass of water ready at your bedside for you to drink it upon waking. Make a point of drinking a glass before you sit down to eat, or have a glass after every bathroom break.
3. Apps
There is no shortage of apps that offer reminders on when to drink. In addition to reminding you, they track your water consumption so you can see where you are throughout the day.
4. Use a marked water bottle
Not interested in apps. No worries! Grab a water bottle that has tracking lines on it. It will visually identify for you how much water you need to drink and how much you have left.
5. Carry water with you
One of the simplest tips is to make sure you have water with you at all times. Rather than spending tons of money on disposable water bottles, save the environment and bring a reusable container with you wherever you go.
