Tired of tasteless and boring water? Try infusing it with flavours and colours that will not only make it look and taste good, but will add healing value.
Every food and herb has a benefit to the body. What better way to consume some of that than to infuse your water! Here are a few recipes to get you started.
Cucumber Lemon Water
- half an organic lemon cut into full-round slices
- half a cucumber, cut into full-round slices
Infuse for 4-8 hours and serve cold. If you plan on keeping this for a while, remove the lemon rind to prevent it from getting bitter. Lemon has so many health benefits. This is an easy way to enjoy it.
Raspberry Mint Water
- 1 pint of organic raspberry
- 5-10 mint leaves
Infuse for 4-8 hours and serve cold. If you don’t like having bits of raspberry in your water, you can filter it prior to drinking. Add a few cubes of ice, and voila! You are ready to enjoy a refreshing glass as well as the many health benefits of mint.
Watermelon Basil Water
- 2 cups of fresh watermelon (you can either shape the watermelon into balls, cut into chunks or finely chop for a more textured drink).
- 5-10 basil leaves
Infuse for 4-8 hours and serve cold. Enjoy the antioxidant benefits that basil has to offer.
